UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT SAY’S IT WILL DEFEND IT’S TERRITORY
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted a self-shot video of himself walking around the streets of Kyiv following a night of explosions and gunfire. In the video he denies he has told the army to lay down its arms, saying that Ukraine will defend itself against the Russian invasion. This comes the previous evening where he had warned that Russian forces would attack overnight.
Similarly, Ukraine has been able to hold on to key cities despite repeated assaults from Russian military forces, the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense said. The Ministry said Russian forces were making gains from multiple fronts to try to encircle the capital city of Kyiv, but faced strong resistance from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Russia forces have also made an amphibious landing in an area between the cities of Mariupol and Melitopol, located in southern Ukraine.
