The New deputy controller of corrections and Officer in Charge of the Enugu State Custodial Center,  Joseph Usifo, has promise a better correctional service.

The New deputy controller of corrections  and Officer in Charge of the Enugu State Custodial Center,  Joseph Usifo, has promise a better correctional service noting that there are many areas to effectively portray the service. He made this known during a courtesy visit with he’s team to Solidfm Management as one of his media tour in the state after assuming office. According to him, the correctional facility have been given a low value based on the people’s perception but noted that, so far the service have redefine it’s status as a lot of progress have been achieved.

Acknowledging that their are some areas in the center which need better management, Joseph said collaborations with the media will help the Custodial center add value to what will help the service as well as he’s administration strive better.. He further added that, he’s assumption as the officer in charge is to make a name and not financial gains. On his part, the general manager of Solid Fm, Uche Gabriel, while welcoming the  Team, said the collaboration it seek was timely. He assured them that, Solidfm will work closely with the center to foster inmate rehabilitation, poster the facility as a positive correctional avenue for inmates  among others. Meanwhile, the visit was the first done by the service chief since he’s assumption to the center.
