The Defense Headquarters has warned politicians not to drag the military into their engagements.

It said the viral online report credited to the Director Army Public Relations Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, where officers and politicians were warned against coup was the handiwork of mischief makers.

Acting Director Defence Media Operations, Brigadier General Bernard Onyeuko, in a statement, said the intent of the mischief makers was to cause disharmony in the polity.

He warned that the Armed Forces of Nigeria will not hesitate to deal decisively with any person or group of persons that want to draw it into partisan politics.
