TEN PERSONS DIED IN CHURCH BUILDING COLLAPSE IN DELTA STATE

Report reaching us has that no fewer than ten worshippers have dead after a building housing Salvation Ministry in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State collapsed. It was gathered that an unspecified number of worshippers may have been trapped in the rubbles, when the building collapsed on Tuesday during a service. Eight persons have been rescued unhurt while four persons were taken to the Asaba Specialist Hospital.

Delta Government officials, including Secretary to the State Government, Patrick Ukah; Commissioner for Health, Ononye Mordi; team of Red Cross officials and fire fighters were at the scene. Many worshippers, family members and sympathisers were in tears searching for loved ones.
