Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered a probe into the death of nine persons in the Ojuelegba area of the State.

Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered a probe into the death of nine persons in the Ojuelegba area of the State. The victims died on Sunday after a container fell on a bus. Several persons were also injured in the incident and they are being treated in a hospital. Hours after the mishap, Governor Sanwo-Olu while condoling with the families of the victims, assured of a thorough investigation into the matter.

In a statement signed the state’s Transportation Commissioner Frederic Oladeinde, the governor assured of continued implementations in its Transport Master Plan, which he added has safety strategies that will ensure that the roads are safe. Sunday’s mishap involved an articulated vehicle carrying a 20ft container on a commercial minibus, popularly known as Korope.
