I’ll leave office with my head high – Obiano

The eight-year reign of Governor Willie Obiano as Anambra State governor will end tomorrow, Thursday March 17, as he bows out after two tenures. Governor Obiano will hand over to a one-time Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Governor, Professor Charles Soludo. The outgoing governor announced the dissolution of all his political appointees, directing them to hand over all government property in their care to the next in line in their offices.

On Tuesday, the State House of Assembly held a valedictory session for outgoing governor, Obiano, while the incoming governor, Soludo was in attendance to witness the valedictory session. While appreciating the legislature for the cordial working relationship and legislative support extended to him for the eight years his administration lasted, the outgoing governor made an appeal urging the Assembly to accord his successor the same legislative support accorded him.
