Warri Wolves have been charged with breaching the Nigeria Premier
Football League, NPFL, framework after failing to provide adequate
security during their match day encounter against Rangers International
on Sunday.
The security lapses caused a delay in the scheduled 4 p.m. kick-off at
the Southern Delta University Stadium, Ozoro.
As a result, Warri Wolves have been fined N1million for failing to
provide prompt, adequate, and effective security for the fixture.
The Seasiders have also been directed to put in place an effective
matchday security arrangement and submit its details to the NPFL within
seven days.
In addition, the club has 48 hours to appeal the sanction.
Warri Wolves are scheduled to host Kwara United in their next home
game.
