Former miss USA 2019 and 10th runner up in miss Universe 2019 , Cheslie Kryst, popularly known for her speech on stress and mental health has committed suicide. Her death was confirmed by the New York police stating that Kryst body was found at the food of a sky scrapper in Manhattan on Sunday. Preliminary investigation showed that 30 year old Kryst jumped from a terrace on the 29th floor of the Orion Condominium tower where she lived.
A few hours before her death, Kryst posted a photo of herself on Instagram with the caption, May this day bring you rest and peace. Although she left no explanation for her apparent suicide, however, the New York Times published several texts and statements Kryst had made since 2019 in which she addressed her own psychological health, work stress, pressure and the challenges of aging.
