United Nations, UN, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged Russia to end its war in Ukraine, warning that the conflict is going nowhere, fast while the Ukrainian people are enduring a living hell. Guterres on Tuesday in New York said continuing the war in Ukraine is morally unacceptable, politically indefensible and militarily nonsensical.
UN local council said Russia is bombarding the besieged Ukrainian port of Mariupol into the ashes of a dead land, describing two more huge bombs that fell on the city that has been encircled by Russian troops for weeks. Russia launched what it calls a special military operation on February 24, saying it aimed to demilitarise and denazify Ukraine, however, Kyiv and its Western allies have accused Moscow of attacking civilians indiscriminately.
