Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Enugu State People’s Democratic Party, PDP gubernatorial candidate, Peter Ndubuisi Mba has called for corporation from stakeholders in a bid to ensure that the economy of the state attains greater height.
The PDP gubernatorial candidate, Peter Mba made this known on Tuesday during a town hall meeting organized by the Enugu Coalition of business and professional associations, ECOBPA held at the Enugu Chamber of Commerce Mines and Industry, ECCIMA complex.
The Enugu State PDP gubernatorial candidate, Peter Ndubuisi Mba who expressed his feelings over the day reiterated his determination to achieve and deliver a peoples focus governance aimed at making the state a safe haven for investment, business, tourism and living.
On the commerce and industry sector, Mba noted that as a business man that he understands the pain they pass through adding that he doubts if anyone can allay their fears better.
Peter Mba further reeling out some of his plans noted that if elected that his government will set up an Enugu state industrial fund as a way of supporting the micro and small businesses whose major challenge is finance.
Further speaking Peter Mba enumerated that in the agriculture sector that his plans include ensuring food security in the state and that the state becomes the food basket of the nation.
He also pledged that within one year of his administration if he emerges as the governor that Enugu will become an oil producing state.
Earlier in a welcome address, the president of Enugu Chamber of Commerce Mines and Agriculture, ECCIMA also the chairman of ECOBPA Jasper Nduagwuike while giving an overview of the bodies hinted that the importance of the day cannot be over emphasized.
In a vote of thanks, the vice chairman ECOBPA, Onyekachi Ezeugwu prayed for Peter Ndubuisi Mba to not forget those in private sector if he eventually assumes office. Meanwhile, the town hall meeting had in attendance representatives from every facet of the business and professional community.
