The All Progressives Congress chapter, APC, of Osun State has accused the state government of failure to hold a State Executive Council meeting, almost two months after coming into office. In a statement released on Monday by the state APC chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, the opposition party stressed that the governor, Ademola Adeleke, is only attracted to the glamour of being the state governor without having concrete developmental plans for the state. Lawal decried the relocation of the state Government House and Governor’s Office to the governor’s sister’s residence in Ede, where the governor has been residing for the past 10 months after being inaugurated into office.
In his response, the Spokesperson to the Governor, Olawale Rasheed, blamed the state APC chapter for a possible memory loss for such accusations. He recalled that, the former governor, Adegboyega Oyetola of the APC, held his maiden state executive council meeting on November 4, 2019, almost a year after the 2018 governorship election..
