Nigeria’s Table Tennis superstar, Aruna Quadri has advanced to the quarter-final of the ongoing World Table Tennis Global Cup in Singapore. The World number 13 defeated China’s Liang Jingkun 3-1 to book his place last in eight.
The game was played at the OCBC Arena in Singapore Sports Hub, on Sunday morning, and Quadri had a slow start losing the first set 7-11 to the world number 8. Quadri however bounced from the setback and won the remaining three sets 11-1, 14-12, and 11-5. The Nigerian star also reached the quarter-final of the World Table Tennis Championship in Houston last week.
