The Chairman of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, NSE, Enugu State
Chapter, P.I.C. Chukwunta, has called for support towards a well designed
programme to educate the public on engineering practices.
He made the call on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the management of
Solid Fm Enugu as part of activities marking its 2025 Engineering Week.
Chukwunta called for stronger collaboration among professionals, noted
that this year’s event will feature experts from related fields such as town
planning, surveying, and architecture.

The chairman further added that the week will begin with a road walk aimed
at sensitising residents about the conference and creating awareness of
the role of engineers in society.
Also speaking, the Chapters Treasurer Linda Nnodi, while speaking on
behalf of the planning Committee, said the theme of the celebration as,
Engineering Solutions to Sustainable Development In Enugu state.
Nnodi who revealed that the program will feature an Annual General
Meeting on the 28 th of August, an induction of new engineers, paper
presentations, and elections into new offices, emphasized that the
Engineering Week has also helped to strengthen unity among members
while promoting healthy living through the sensitization activities.

Responding on behalf of Solid FM’s management, Uchenna Cyril Anioke
reaffirmed the stations commitment to partnering with association in
disseminating information to the public.
He said the media outfit will provide full media coverage of the week-long
program, ensuring that audiences across the Eastern Nigeria are carried
along.
