The House of Representatives has expressed displeasure over Federal Government’s failure to suspend the use of the failed Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System, IPPIS, conducted by National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA. The Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila expressed his displeasure at the resumed investigation into the lingering prolonged strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
Trouble started when the NITDA’s Director of Information Technology, Usman Abdullahi disclosed that the IPPIS failed the integrity test conducted as a result of the controversy trailing the payment platform provided by ASUU. Abdullahi disclosed that the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami has advised his counterparts on the failed payment platform.
