Heartland have placed their players on half salaries until further notice following the club’s humiliating defeat to Plateau United on Wednesday. The former Nigeria Premier Football League champions suffered a 5-1 defeat to Plateau United at the Awka City Stadium on Wednesday. The Naze Millionaires occupy bottom position on the NPFL table and face a tough fight to retain their top-flight status.
