GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING EIGHTY-TWO DIVISION MAJOR GENERAL TAOREED LAGBAJA CHARGES ARMY OFFICERS TO DOUBLE THEIR EFFORTS IN TACKLING INSECURITY

The General Officer Commanding 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, has charged officers of the Division to redouble their efforts in tackling insecurity facing the country.

Lagbaja gave the charge over the weekend during the decoration of eight newly-promoted senior officers from the ranks of Major to Lieutenant Colonel in Abakpa Military Cantonment, Enugu.

The GOC represented by the Chief of Staff of the Division, Brigadier General Greg Omoregbe, reminded the decorated officers that the new ranks is an added responsibility them.

Lagbaja urged them to uphold the confidence reposed on them by being loyal and committed to the Nigerian Army authorities and service of the fatherland.

In an interview, one of the decorated officers and Acting Spokesman of the Division, Lieutenant Colonel A. Abdullahi, assured the Nigerian Army authorities of his loyalty and commitment to duties.

According to him, he is fully committed and ever ready to put necessary sacrifices to ensure that the Division and his unit deliver on all its mandates and tasks.
