ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT DECLARES WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 23 WORK FREE DAY.

In a bid to ensure turn out for the local government election slated for Wednesday, the Enugu State government has declared the day work free day. According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information, Steve Oruruo, markets and offices are to be closed while movement of persons, vehicles are also restricted from 8 A.M to 4 P.M, except for those on essential duties.
To this end, the statement further urged all residents legally qualified to vote to go to the polls and cast their votes. 
Steve Oruro also asserted that requisite arrangements have been made to guarantee a hitch-free process before, during and after the election in the state.
