The people of Enugu East have called on the PDP gubernatorial candidate for the 2023 general election Peter Ndubuisi Mba to come to their rescue in the areas of social amenities, infrastructure among others.
They made this known over the weekend while playing host on the PDP gubernatorial candidate Peter Ndubuisi Mba and his entourage during a town hall meeting held at Enugu East Central and Enugu East development centers.
In their separate remarks at the event, the former PDP governorship aspirant, Beloved Dan Anike and the house of assembly candidate for Enugu East Urban, constituency, John Obinna Ogbu while outlining some of the challenges facing the people reiterated their support for the party.
On her part, lady Andy Ndife who is a teacher with one of the public schools in the state called on the pdp gubernatorial candidate to employ more teachers and help in renovating some of the public schools structures.
Responding, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP gubernatorial candidate Peter Ndubuisi Mba restated plans to give the state a facelift and transform it to compete favorable with international communities.
Mba who also noted of his administration’s determination to ensure that development becomes a norm in the state assured of one hundred billion naira revolving fund for women in agriculture.
On water scarcity which has become the order of the day, Peter Mba stated that adequate measures are on top gear to guarantee constant water supply both in rural and urban areas of the state while adding that some of the problems causing the scarcity have already been identified.
He however stated that the education and health sectors are critical towards achieving the new Enugu he hopes to achieve if he emerges victorious come 2023
Meanwhile, the event had in attendance all the sons and daughters of Enugu East from far and wide along with party faithful from other local government areas.
