The Enugu State People’s Democratic Party, PDP gubernatorial candidate for the 2023 general election, Peter Ndubuisi Mba has reiterated his determination to ensure an inclusive economic development; and sustainable prosperity for the masses if elected governor. Peter Mba made this known on Thursday during his post campaign manifesto unveiling at the Nigeria Union of journalists, NUJ Press Center, Enugu. Briefing newsmen shortly after presenting his manifesto, Peter Ndubuisi Mba who noted that the objective of good governance is to create an environment for peace and security to thrive hinted that his government will focus on Transparency, traceability and accountability.
The PDP gubernatorial candidate also hinted that the vision and mission of his administration if elected will entail moving the states gross domestic product from its current four point four billion dollars to at least thirty billion dollars. On water scarcity, which is one of the major problems ravaging the state, Mba assured of major overhaul in the downstream section of the water supply as a way of addressing the issue in the urban areas and provision of boreholes in the rural areas.
Further speaking; on Education, Peter Mba stressed the need for the establishment of adult literacy centers to cater for those who wish to return to school and domestication of the disability act in order to give the physically challenged the opportunity to have access to learning.
Earlier, in a welcome address the NUJ chairman comrade Sam Udekwe commended Peter Mba for the time made available to discuss with newsmen. Meanwhile, it will be recalled that Peter Mba emerged as the PDP gubernatorial candidate after he scored seven hundred and ninety votes to defeat other aspirants in the partys primary election held on May 25th 2022.
