Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has sworn-in thirty-five newly appointed Commissioners with a charge to be innovative and strategic in the discharge of their duties. Nwifuru also swore in Chief of Staff, Emmanuel Echiegu and Deputy Chief of Staff, Timothy Nwachi, Senior Assistants , Special Assistants and Personal Assistants.
Addressing the political appointees on Tuesday, the governor enjoined them to join hands with him to transform the State.
While stressing that the appointments were not political patronage, Nwifuru warned that his administration will not tolerate indolence. According to him, he will not hesitate to remove any commissioner, who is found wanting in his or her duties.
While thanking Ebonyians for their patience with his administration, the governor assured that he will hit the ground running to deliver on his campaign promises. Speaking on behalf of other appointees, the Chief of Staff, Emmanuel Echiegu thanked the governor for finding them worthy to serve and assured that they will work hard to justify their appointments.
