Coal City Fashion Experience 2025 Showcases Enugu’s Growing Fashion Power

The Coal City Fashion Experience (CCFE) 2025 has reaffirmed Enugu’s status as one of Nigeria’s emerging fashion capitals, drawing designers, stylists, and fashion enthusiasts from across the country for a weekend of creativity and style.
Now in its latest edition, the annual fashion showcase featured 15 runway designers and over 25 marketplace vendors, offering a vibrant mix of high-end fashion, accessories, and ready-to-wear collections. Held in the heart of Enugu, the event blended glitz with a strong focus on promoting local talent and sustainable fashion practices.
Organizers say this year’s edition aimed to strengthen Enugu’s fashion economy by connecting designers with potential investors, buyers, and media.
“The Coal City Fashion Experience is more than just a runway show, it’s a platform for empowerment,” said one of the event coordinators. “We’re giving young designers from Enugu and beyond the chance to reach new markets and tell their stories through fashion.”
Designers such as Faaji Casa Clothings, Emil Empire, Tomira Signature, and Lin Atelier showcased collections that combined cultural identity with modern trends. Attendees were treated to a blend of traditional fabrics like adire and ankara reimagined in bold, contemporary silhouettes.
The event also featured networking sessions, pop-up stores, and music performances, turning the fashion show into a full creative-culture experience.
With growing participation and national attention, the Coal City Fashion Experience is fast becoming a key stop on Nigeria’s fashion calendar, spotlighting Enugu as a hub for innovation, artistry, and enterprise in the country’s creative industry.
