The “Snowfall’ star Damson Idris has joined the increasing list of film industry personalities paying tribute to deceased Nollywood veteran Babatunde Omidina popularly known as Baba Suwe. The English actor who has Nigerian roots with both parents from Nigeria, recently took to his Twitter handle with a moving tribute to the comedy star describing him as an ‘icon’ who taught him comedy.
News of Baba Suwe’s death made headlines this week after his son, Adesola Omidina made the announcement via social media. Before the demise, of the veteran actor he had reportedly battled an undisclosed ailment for years . After his much publicized drug trafficking case with the NDLEA. The 63-year-old actor was later cleared of all charges. Prior to the NDLEA case, Baba Suwe was known as one of Nollywood’s most iconic comedy acts with features in several Yoruba comedy films.
