Barring any unforeseen circumstance, the final results of November 6, 2021, Anambra State governorship election may be announced earlier than expected.

Newsmen, while monitoring the Election Results Portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) discovered that as of 10.08 am on Sunday, the umpire had uploaded results from 4,144 polling units on the portal, out of the total number of 5,720 units in all the 21 LGAs of the state.

The remaining results for the outstanding 1,576 are expected to be uploaded in batches.
