The people of Agwu local government area of Enugu State have called on the People’s Democratic Party, PDP gubernatorial candidate Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to ensure more dividends of democracy in the area, if he emerges governor.

They made this known on Wednesday while playing host on the PDP gubernatorial candidate Peter Mba and his entourage during town hall meetings held at Anike- nano Ugwueme in Mgbidi and Agwu central development centers.

In a welcome address, the chairman Agwu local government area, Pedro Nwankwo commended the governor of the state ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for the gift of Peter Mba, whom he described as Gods gift.

Contributing in their separate remarks, the member representing Agwu South in the state house of assembly Johnson Chukwuobasi and his counterpart, the commissioner for science and technology Obi Kama lamented over what they described as absence of government in their area and appealed to the PDP gubernatorial candidate to come to their aid.

On his part, the chairman of Agwu Traditional ruler’s council, His Royal Highness Igwe Cyprian Mmaduabuchi Nevo Obasi noted that as traditional rulers that they are not partisan and called on the PDP gubernatorial candidate to ensure he lives up to expectation if he emerges successful.

Responding, the people, the PDP gubernatorial candidate Peter Ndubuisi Mba asserted that the importance of the meeting cannot be overemphasized adding that it will help in prioritizing the needs of people.

Mbah also stressed the need for the Enugu State house of assembly to domesticate the disability act in order to guarantee improved living standard for the physically challenged.

He further noted that the essence of living is to ensure continuous improvement and called on the masses not to gamble with their future by ensuring outright victory for the party.

Meanwhile, the event which had various sons and daughters of Agwu from far and wide in attendance had the traditional rulers council of the area present the PDP gubernatorial candidate Peter Mbah with Ofor as vote of confidence.
