Former President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the residents of Borno and other states impacted by devastating floods due to relentless rainfall.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari characterized the floods as a national tragedy.
He conveyed deep concern over the extensive damage to homes and farmland, as well as the tragic loss of life in Borno and surrounding areas.
Buhari expressed hope that the relief efforts initiated by various governments would offer solace and support to those mourning lost loved ones and livelihoods, helping them to rebuild their lives.
“My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this disaster,” he stated.
